Holofoil Radiance Restoration Service

Improve the clarity and presentation of your holofoil cards. Our Holofoil Radiance Restoration service focuses on suitable light surface scratches, scuffs and dullness that affect the appearance of the holographic finish.

Using a bespoke polishing solution developed for collectible cards, we carry out targeted surface refinement to reduce the appearance of suitable superficial marks and enhance holographic shine. Results depend on the card’s finish, condition and the depth of the original damage.

Sending us graded cards? Your order must include one Graded Slab Cracking Service for each graded card you send.

What this service includes

• One card treated per quantity ordered.
• Specialist holofoil refinement using a bespoke polishing solution.
• Targeted treatment to reduce the appearance of suitable light surface scratches and scuffs.
• Surface refinement aimed at improving holographic clarity and shine.
• A fresh penny sleeve, semi-rigid holder and sealed team bag.
• Protective return packaging with a reusable box.

Treatment is selected according to the card’s surface and condition. Not every finish or mark is suitable for polishing, and additional treatment does not necessarily produce a better result.

Best suited for

• Holofoil cards with light surface scratching or superficial scuffs.
• Cards with dullness that may respond to targeted surface refinement.
• Collectors seeking improved visual presentation for display, storage or a possible grading submission.

Expected outcomes

Suitable light marks may become less noticeable, allowing the holographic finish to appear clearer. Some marks may remain visible under particular lighting or magnification, even where the overall presentation improves.

This service does not remove deep scratches or structural dents. It cannot replace missing ink, repair lost foil or rebuild damaged surface material. Some cards may show limited or no improvement.

If your card has several types of concern, Ultimate Card Revival combines detailed cleaning, Holofoil Radiance Restoration and structural treatment where suitable. You do not need to book this service separately for a card already receiving Ultimate.

Optional Restoration Report + scans

A Restoration Report + scans can be added to your booking for a record of your card’s condition and the work completed. Reports and scans are not included as standard with this service; they are included with Ultimate Card Revival.

The add-on includes:

• A Restoration Report recording findings, treatment carried out and remaining concerns.
• Front and rear condition maps with labelled points of interest where relevant.
• Front and rear digital scans before and after treatment.

Once shared, your report is available in your Dugz Cards account under Restoration Reports, with a Restoration label beside your card. The condition maps illustrate approximate finding locations; the actual card scans are supplied separately.

For graded cards, before-treatment scans are taken after slab removal. Cards inside graded slabs cannot be scanned using our equipment.

Important considerations

• All cleaning and restoration work carries inherent risk, particularly on older, brittle or heavily damaged cards.
• Results vary by card. Complete scratch removal or a flawless finish cannot be guaranteed.
• Deep scratches, missing foil and other permanent surface damage may remain.
• Whitening cannot be restored, as it involves missing ink or surface material.
• Improved appearance does not guarantee a higher grade or that treatment will be undetectable.
• No particular grading outcome, restoration result or increase in value is guaranteed.
