Dry Press for Pokémon & TCG Cards

Give your cards a dedicated drying stage with the Dugz Cards Dry Press, a reusable TCG card drying kit designed to hold cards flat and supported while silica beads reduce moisture in the surrounding air.

Developed by Dugz Cards for use within Pokémon card cleaning and restoration routines, the press combines protective foam, adjustable compression and a built-in digital hygrometer. The supplied resealable bag creates an enclosed drying environment, without applying heat to your card.

Supported drying for trading cards

A damp card can curl as it dries. The Dry Press holds your card between two protective foam sheets, with four thumbscrews allowing you to apply firm but gentle, even pressure. A separate reservoir beneath the sliding grid keeps the loose silica beads away from the card.

The aim is to keep the card firmly flat and supported throughout drying. It is not a dedicated flattening press, and additional pressure should never be used to force out dents or creases.

Using a dry press for Pokémon card restoration

The Dry Press supports the drying stage of a suitable card-care process. It does not clean the card itself or guarantee the removal of dents, creases, whitening or other damage.

Drying time varies with the card’s construction, starting moisture and the condition of the silica beads. The hygrometer measures the surrounding air, not moisture inside the card, so its reading should be considered alongside careful inspection.

Always practise on low-value cards first. Card restoration is a skill, and different card stocks and finishes respond differently. Keep the foam clean, use firm but gentle pressure and follow the guide throughout.
